Our little slice of Palisade
Harding Homegrown was established in 2021 as a regenerative farm in Palisade Colorado.
Palisade is a small, charming town, hugged between Grand Mesa and the Book Cliffs, in Western Colorado. It is a unique microclimate protected by the ‘million dollar’ katabatic winds from DeBeue canyon with the south facing cliff walls reflecting the sun’s heat on the valley below. The desert climate provides for hot days and cool nights. This daily diurnal shift helps to cultivate high natural sugars contributing to incredible fruit flavor and why Palisade grows the best peaches (and more) in the world.
Our farm was one of the first vineyards in the Grand Valley. We have since converted the more climate-sensitive vinifera grape vines to a mixture of stone fruit orchard, pasture and a variety of field produce.
