A Regenerative Farm in Palisade, Colorado
We practice holistic land management focused on sustainable, integrated farming systems.
We raise our food as if it were going straight to our tables (because it does) - no harsh chemicals, organically produced and environmentally friendly. Excess produce is used to feed our livestock and the manure from our livestock is used as a natural fertilizer - both of which also contribute to our soil building programs. Our motto is ‘No Waste!’
Nuturing the Soil Food Web
By increasing organic matter and microbial diversity, we are able to improve crop resilience, nutrient density, water holding capacity and biosequestration, strengthening the health and vitality of our farm and community.
Turning Waste into Life
Our team gathers local weeds, leaf litter and Colorado riverbed mycorrhiza to brew microbial teas in order to build soil health and biota diversity. We also work with local partners to source kitchen scraps and spent grains to feed our livestock and create nitrogen-rich compost.
Providing for the Community
Our regenerative farming practices produce high quality, organic stone fruit, wine grapes and produce - including a seasonal pumpkin patch. We also raise free range hens and heritage, Berkshire hogs.
“By decentralizing and localizing our food systems, we can produce higher quality food and improve food security for our communities. ”
